“You don’t think Keisha’s kind of hot” Nick asked Kyle as they approached the high school.
Keisha was wearing tight blue jeans and a feathered blouse.  Her hair was stunningly perfect, as was her makeup and earrings.  She was going to be the new Miss Popular of   Hamches High.  Kira and her sister Taja opened a bakery after Taja’s husband died of a heart attack.  So Keisha had access to free delicious delights, and with them she made lots of new friends.
“It’s the last day of school, you should make sure she’s going to camp.” Kyle elbowed his best friend.
It didn’t take much encouragement.  Kyle walked over to Keisha, “Can anyone have one of these?”.  He eyed the cream puffs in a silver cardboard box.
“You can have one, if you want.” Keisha leaned back a little.
Kyle picked one up and hastily took a bite.  “These are good!”, he said with his mouth full.
Keisha raised her eyebrow at him.
He quickly swallowed.  “Hey, are you coming to camp this year?  We could really use a sixth.”
“Sure, my momma signed me up for that camp months ago.  The Try Right Girls wanted me on their team first though.”  Keisha crossed her arms.  The “Try Right” girls and boys were the Pentecostal youth group.
     “Oh.” Kyle said disheartened.
“But if Sissy Copes gets over the flu before camp starts, I’ll give her my spot.  Then I’ll join you.” Keisha playfully swung at his arm but missed on purpose.
“I’ll be praying for her recovery!” Kyle grinned with delight.
     Keisha smiled flirtatiously and giggled.
A bright flash went off to the right of them.
Barry smiled at the two and then showed them picture he’d taken of them.  “You two make a great couple.”
“Don’t put that in your trashy gossip column of a school newspaper.” Keisha started in on Barry who was practically the paparazzi to her.  “Always sneaking up on people snapping shots like it’s your business.”
“Oh relax.” Barry waved her off.  “It’s not like Little Miss Goody Two Shoes would ever do anything worth gossiping about.”
“Is that why you’re dogging my every step?” Keisha got in his face.  “Cause I’m beginning to think you got a crush one me.”
“And what if I do?” Barry cooed at her.
Keisha rolled her eyes, “You two ain’t nothing but little school boys.”  She strutted into the main building.
“Do you really like her?” Kyle sounded nervous.
“Nah, well maybe.” Barry looked at the camera.  “Do you blame me?”
“I asked her to be sixth.”
“Yeah, I knew you were going to do that.”  Barry looked up from the camera at his friend, “You have a crush on her too.”
“Do you blame me?” Kyle smiled at Barry.
The two chuckled and went to class.
