Teenage Ghost
Inja sat down across from Evan during lunch. He didn’t even look up at her from his science book.
She decided to take matters into her own hands. He would never notice her if he never took his eyes off his books. She leaned over and said loudly, “Hi. I’m Inja.”
Evan looked up from his science book into the most beautiful dark brown eyes he had ever seen. He felt breathless as he noticed the girl in front of him. She was drop dead gorgeous. Her dark brown hair was sleek and straight, held back in a ponytail. Her cinnamon skin was so smooth and clear. Though she wore little makeup, what she wore made her look all the more stunning. Yes stunning, he was definitely stunned.
Inja leaned back and examined the young man in front of her. He had such a strange expression on his face, and he did not speak. She wondered if she might have offended him, or disturbed him from his studies and he was angry. “Am I bothering you?” she questioned then quickly said, “I can move if you want to be left alone.” Inja grabbed her lunch tray to move.
“No.” Evan reached out quickly, then withdrew his hand back twice as fast. He dared not touch this angel, she was far too beautiful. He was nervous and confused, no thoughts would form in his mind.
Inja smiled brightly and took her hands off the tray. “I’m Inja Tanoli. I’m head cheerleader this year.”
Evan was more confused. Why was a cheerleader talking to him? He was unsure if she was selling tickets to the game, or if she wanted volunteers for some spirit banner. With rationality settling in, he became less nervous, and was able to talk. “Can I help you with something?”, he didn’t really care too much if all she wanted was his help and nothing more. She really was wonderful to look at, and cheerleaders were always flirting with underclassmen to get them to do things for them.
Inja chuckled, “No.” She took a bite of the salad. “I just wanted to get to know you, and be friends.” she didn’t look up from her food.
Evan glanced down and noticed his clothes. Jeff’s clothes. He smiled, their plan worked.
