Teenage Ghost
The moment Vi saw the happy couple turn the corner into the theater, her mood changed. Her eyes focused on Evan and his new girlfriend like a hawk on it’s prey. Anger boiled up inside her, she could feel it pulsating. She felt a deep, dark cold begin to grow within herself. A need for revenge and vengeance began to take hold of her.
Every step the young couple took, Vi felt more and more angry.
The temperature in the theater began to fall quickly.
Vi’s eyes would not leave the two as they walked halfway up the stairs.
Inja shivered as they stopped halfway up the stairs. “It’s cold in here.” she remarked as she tried to warm herself.
“We’ll sit down and I will put my arm around you to keep you warm.” Evan suggested.
Inja blushed and almost stumbled as they walked down the row to the center. All of the sudden the cold didn’t seem so bad, in fact she felt a little warm.
The two sat down and Evan put his arm around Inja. Inja instinctively snuggled in close to him.
Vi began to tense up, the air around her turned bitter cold.
Brenda began to feel uncomfortable from the coldness and glanced over at her new best friend. She looked at Vi almost frozen with a wrathful look on her face. Her eyes piercing a young couple snuggled in the seats below. Brenda called out to Vi, but as she did she noticed the white puff of her breath as she spoke. “Vi? Is something wrong?” she asked, then recoiled to look at the air.
Vi took no notice of Brenda, she couldn’t see anything but Evan and his new girlfriend. She couldn’t think of anything but Evan and his new girlfriend. There was only way to cure her problem, and that was get rid of Evan’s new girlfriend.
Kiesha, Belenda, and Jody walked in taking no note of the cold. The three were talking as if they had no notion at all a date was going on with one of their friends.
Jody then pointed to the girls sitting at the top row.
“Oh wow!” Kiesha said loudly enough to echo off the theater walls. “Looks like the ghouls actually have dates. I didn’t know Creeps came in female form. I guess now I know that’s why there’s so many of you. You keep breeding.”
Brenda felt a jolt of fear from the confrontation. Her heart began to beat quickly, she no longer felt the chill in the air. She’d never been in a fight before. She didn’t want to get beat up. She looked at the long fall down the stairs, or even worse killed. She glanced nervously at Vi.
Vi would not take her eyes off Evan and his new girlfriend. She was so engrossed in her own thoughts, she did not even hear Kiesha’s taunt.
Brenda’s fear changed again as she noticed the wall behind Vi was beginning to form frost. She forgot about the girls at the bottom of the stairs and stared in awe at the wall. “Vi.” Brenda called out with icy breath. “Vi!” she said louder and reached across the vacant seats. When she touched Vi it was like touching dry ice, it burned her fingertips.
Brenda jerked backwards.
Vi’s attention and concentration was broken as she glanced in anger at her new friend. She snapped angrily at Brenda, “What?!”
Brenda was rubbing her fingers, “Look at the wall behind you.”
