“I’m so happy to meet you.”Shaniqua smiled brightly at the woman. She couldn’t believe the luck she was having. “So what brings you to England?” she asked casually as she picked up the menu.
“Travel.” Lucy smiled at the waiter who interrupted by dropping off a hamburger and milkshake. “Thanks.” she said to the man.
Shaniqua half laughed, “You came all this way, and you want American food?”
Lucy smiled with a small hint of guilt then took a bite of the hamburger. “It’s good too.” she said with her mouth full.
“I think I’ll have that.” Shaniqua said to the waiter. Shaniqua continued her interrogation after the waiter left the table. “So where are you going that you’re traveling alone?”
“Mmm.” Lucy held a finger up and tried to swallow the new bite she had just taken. “I have my brother with me.” she drank a sip of the pink milkshake.
“Oh.” Shaniqua looked back at the small hallway. “So will he will be joining us?”
Lucy set the milkshake glass down, “Naw. He’s gone off to some fancy hotel, you know the kind. Impersonal, corporate. I like a more personal touch, I want to experience England you know, like the English do.”
    Shaniqua smiled at the woman.
Lucy looked at her burger and smiled, “I know, but I’m trying. It’s hard to eat strange food when you’re hungry.”

Marvin walked free on a technicality, he smiled politely as he gathered his things and left. He stopped at a diner, had a steak and potatoes meal, with pie for dessert. He had the money to pay for that in his pocket, but he had little else.
He’d been in for too long and his money was almost gone.
He walked down to the dry cleaners he remembered had a live feed, and robbed the place ten minutes before it closed. He exited avoiding all the cameras on the lot. He called a cab and went to check in with Lou.
Lou was grateful to see Devine, an uncommon site. “We have the name of the couple that cashed in the ticket.” He tossed a piece of paper at Marvin. “Aston disappeared on ‘Personal Business’ just days before we got the lead. I’ve been unable to contact him since he left, so he’s either incarcerated, dead, or incapacitated.”
Lou reached in a desk drawer and pulled out a cell phone and slid it across to Marvin. “I need you to finish what you started.”
