Serial Killer

Alicia woke up to the sun in her face. For a brief moment she had forgotten where she was and what had happened. She breathed in a deep breath, and as she exhaled it all came flooding back to her. Her breathing slowed, and she slowly sat up in the bed and looked around.
Andy was sitting in one of the folding chairs in the center of the kitchen, watching her.
She looked at his emotionless face as he seemed frozen watching her.
A sudden percolation from a camping percolator on the stove made her jump.
Andy reached over and turned the heat down. He looked at Alicia again and then walked out of the trailer so she could have some morning privacy.
Alicia looked at the shower head as she sat on the toilet. She could smell herself, and she wanted desperately to take a shower. She was afraid of what would happen if she took her clothes off and tried to take one.
She heard the door open to the trailer and heard the man moving around in the kitchen.
Andy paused at the bathroom screen, with a mug of coffee in his hand. “I left you a cup of coffee on the table. I’m heading to town for supplies.”, he set the mug on the table and walked out the door. He locked the trailer and drove off.
Alicia opened the screen and watched the truck drive off. She wanted to wedge one of the chairs under the doorknob of the door, but since it opened outward it wouldn’t do her any good. She moved the chairs in front of the door to buy her some time when in the shower, to at least get ready for an attack. She showered quickly and then put back on her dirty clothes.
She looked outside, he still hadn’t returned.
The coffee was still warm in the mug on the table. She moved the chairs back into place and sat down at the table. She cradled the coffee mug in her hands, and took a sip as she stared out the window at the endless prairie land. Was she even still in Ohio anymore?
