Serial Killer

“I’ve been kidnapped.” Alicia explained as the man knelt down slowly and looked at the chain, cuff, and padlock. “You have to hurry he could be back any minute now.”
The old man examined the chains, “Do you have anything to cut the chains with?”
“The toolbox is attached to the truck.” Alicia said hurriedly. “He takes everything with him when he goes.”
The old man looked up at her through his clouding brown eyes. “Well, I don’t have anything on the truck that will cut through this. I’ll have to go up to the house and come back.”
Alicia felt as if she was going to die at the thought of it. She began to wring her hands together and look down the road.
“Will you be alright, until then?” he asked as he held on to the table and pulled himself up. “It’ll take me about thirty minutes to get up the road and back.” He set his hand on the shaking girl’s shoulder, “Will you be alright til then?”
Alicia was hysterical by now, “Yes! Yes! Just please go! Hurry!” she pleaded as tears began to form in her eyes.
