Serial Killer
Andy wasn’t far from the property when he heard the police scanner. He wasn’t shocked when he heard them called to his property for a possible abduction or kidnapping. They’d only actually been at the property for two and a half weeks, but from listening to the scanner he knew he had an hour before the police reached his land. He was less than five minutes away.
His heartbeat did not rise, he only sighed in disappointment. He’d hoped to stay longer in this place, too bad his guest had other plans. Their next place would not be as hospitable.
He started the truck and headed at top speed down the roads til he was almost flying down the dirt road towards the trailer.
Alicia jumped up as she saw the dust cloud coming at top speed, her heart began to pound. She hoped it was just some teenager skipping school, please let it be that.
The dust cloud emitted flying rocks in every direction as it slowed enough to make the turn to the dirt trail up to the residence.
Alicia lost all hope as the saw the driver. Andy’s face contorted now with rage. Alicia screamed as loud as she could. No words could be formed from the sheer terror she felt, just a shrieking noise she hoped could be heard for miles. Maybe the man who had been here before could hear her, off on that distant farm.
Andy wouldn’t be bothered by her noise. He exited the truck and walked to the back of the truck. Unlocking the toolbox he took out his tranquilizer pistol.
Alicia shrieked in terror and ran inside the trailer. She slammed the door behind her and grasped tightly to the doorknob. She placed a foot on either side of the door frame trying to brace her weight. She kept her head down and stayed in a crouched over position. It was her only hope.
