Original X-roads-2003
Sertoff grabbed me by the back of the shirt and ushered me into a back room, that remained vacant. He tossed me in and slammed the door, setting a heavy bar across to lock it. He took his sword and tossed it on the floor as he came towards me.
I backed away until I hit the wall with my back. I was just playing around, why did he have to take it so seriously.
He set his hands on my shoulders and held me against the wall. “You know what I should do to you?”
“I don’t know. You know cause, I don’t owe you anything, I don’t belong to you. I don’t have any feelings for you, we got no ties together.” as if I was talking to a rational man.
“So help me…” he whispered.
I started to want to get away.
“If Jonothan comes to stop this I really will kill him.”
“Stop what.” I felt the blood rush from my face.
“Oh don’t you worry your pretty little head over that.” he let go and turned away from me.
I swallowed and inched away from him. “You’re scaring me.”
“Really?” he stared at the wall.
I watched him carefully. I glanced around at the empty room, stone walls meet stone ceiling and floor.
“You should be thankful I got you out of the dungeon.” Sertoff scoffed as he leaned against the door.
“I should be?” I questioned him.
“Maybe you didn’t notice the Emperors’ interest in you.” he crossed his arms.
“I suppose you saved me from that too.” I muttered.
“Ingrate.”
“I didn’t ask for your help.” I glared at him. “I had it under control.”
