Meanwhile…
“Well we knew it was going to be trouble.” Cas walked beside Daemon towards the tavern after witnessing the small event.
“I tried to warn him.” Daemon shrugged as he held the door open for Cas. Motioning to the soldier for two drinks as the sat at a table.
Cas sighed as she sat down. “I don’t envy her now though.
Daemon chuckled, “She’ll be lucky if Sertoff doesn’t chain her to his side when he gets her back.”
The soldier set the drinks down just as Sertoff kicked the door in.
The two sat silent staring at the table as Sertoff sat down, the soldier immeaditly bringing him a drink. He pushed it aside.
Daemon and Cas exchanged glances.
Sertoff pulled a small watch looking jumper out his pocket and set it on the table watching it intently.
Cas took a sip and set her mug down.
“She’s going to move fast.” Daemon set his mug down. “By the time you see it, she’ll be gone.”
Sertoff glared at him.
“He’s only trying to help.” Cas jumped to his defense.
“How many days till Jonothan recovers?” Daemon took a sip.
“I don’t know.” Sertoff watched the jumper.
Cas sighed, “You want us to go keep an eye on him for you?”
“No.” he looked her dead in the eye. “I want him to convince her to come back.”
“That’s not going to happen.” Daemon set his mug down and sat back in the chair.
“He’s obsessed.” Sertoff watched the jumper again.
