Original X-roads-2003
“In the dungeon?” he raised an eyebrow.
“Yeah so it looked pretty bad.” I admitted angrily. “But I would’ve gotten out, eventually.”
He half laughed and pulled out a flask, “Here.” he tossed it to me.
I caught it in my right hand, “Rhismian wine?” I looked at it.
“Kilji’s personal stock of Stajaki.” he pulled out another flask.
“Stajaki.” I repeated after him and stared at the flask. “What’s this going to do to me?” I looked at him as he guzzled some down.
He capped the flask and set it down on the stone. Then he sat against the door and crossed his legs, “It makes you drunk.”
“Well it certainly made you sit down pretty fast.” I looked at the flask once more, “I think I’ll pass on this one, I don’t like the results when we’re alone and drunk.”
“Which is worse?” he was playing nice for a change, “Waking up in jail or waking up in my arms?”
“Tough choice, either way I know I had way to much to drink the night before.” I might as well say it, I’m thinking it.
“Pick one.” he glared up at me.
“I’m not playing this game with you.” I crossed my arms and sat down in the corner of the room.
“Oh but we haven’t even began to play. You don’t know what I can do to you in this room.” his voice took a dark tone.
I tried to push out feelings and thoughts that rushed to mind.
“No one will come to rescue, no one can come in.” he turned to the door. “What will you give me to get out of here.”
