I rushed out after him, “Sertoff!”
He stopped and turned around.
“I’m sorry for what happened in there.”
“I took your men across to the battle field, you lost half your men. But now you have control of mine.” he looked away from me.
I drew in a breath.
“I know you’re happy now. Free and clear.”
“I’m more concerned about you.”
He looked into my eyes, “I would have had you again.”
“Don’t play that with me, that’s my game.”
“I guess you got the last laugh after all.”
“Why do I get the feeling it isn’t over?”
He looked me dead in the eyes, with his cold stare. I felt the shivers return and fear grip me tight, “Because it isn’t.” He was gone in a flash of bright light.
“He won hurt you now.” Jonothan called out from the doorway.
That’s not what I’m afraid of.
