Daemon walked into the underground chamber where Kilji was residing. “Sir, we will need your help.”
“Help?” Razus looked at him. “Why would I help you? I don’t owe you a thing.”
“I saved your life, by bringing you down here to heal.”
“You saved nothing!” Kilji snapped at him. “You brought me down here like the servant you are, it was your duty to serve your Lord.”
Daemon grimaced but said nothing.
“What is it you want of me?” Kilji asked in passing interest.
“I need you to re-animate the inhabitants of Othesis Castle.” Daemons pendant glowed.
“Othesis Castle?” Kilji’s interest was peaked. “What happened there?”
“Sertoff slaughtered the entire grounds.”
Kilji half laughed in disbelief, “Sertoff.” He walked away from Daemon and thought for a few moments, “Has he stopped?”
“I don’t know.”
“There’s no point in going there unless he’s stopped. He already shot me in the face once this week. I do not think I want my head severed while he is on some murderous rampage.” Kilji declined.
“I was hoping you might know of some way to control him. You employed him, he was under your command.” Daemon said quickly.
“Money?” Kilji asked. “I don’t think it holds the same sway it once had over him.” Kilji shook his head, “Where is that girl he had, the one by his side? Where is she in all of this?”
“With Jonothan D’Brau.”
“D’Brau.” Kilji hissed. “You need her to get him to stop.”
“That will never work.” Daemon shook his head.
“We have no other choice.” Kilji stated.
