Original X-roads-2003
Mesiaha walked into the tower where her sister stayed. Every day Mesiaha walked up the long steps and sat in front of her sister on the floor. Every day she talked to her twin, she told her of the days events.
How hot it was outside, she’d never seen it so hot in her whole life. The natural lakes were beginning to dry out, the natural forests were starting to wither here and there. Only the things man made were remaining, because they were being maintained by people. The people themselves were changing too, they seemed less friendly and willing to help each other out. There seemed like there was less time for everything, and the heat stole your energy fast. During the mid afternoon hours, people were starting to stay some place cool out of the sun. Some businesses, like Zariahas favorite drani shop were closed after noon time.
She told these things to her sister, even though her eyes were glassed over, in hopes she would still hear them.
Mesiaha missed her sister terribly, she understood that there had just been too much pain. It was too hard for her to face living everyday, but to have Jonothan take it all from you to become his slave…
Mesiaha looked deep into her sisters glazed eyes, but she was not there. Zariaha’s body breathed in and out, and she looked straight forward. Not a thought passed through her mind, nor did emotion reach her.
