Original X-roads-2003
Ten or eleven Underworlders walked about with different clients. Taking them down various hallways that held cells full of captives.
Han’Drax walked up to Alrik, “Counselor Peit, how nice of you to return this season. I have exactly what you need to bring an end to your problem in the east.”
Alrik followed the Underworlder through several hallways til they reached a cell far in the back.
Alrik gasped and took a step back. Inside the cell stood a dark demon, twice the size of any man. His dark shadow horns protruding upwards into the sky.
Shakily, Alrik walked to the cell bars. “He is compliant, yes?”
“Naturally.” Han’Drax watched closely. “I have his remote in hand. You can take him now if you wish, however, he is twice the price of any other. I have had several offers for this one.”
Alrik stopped shaking at the sound of money, it was the one thing he truly understood. “Twice the price, but well worth it.” he turned to face Han’Drax.
“He comes equipped.” Han’Drax stepped back while the cell bars disappeared. He pressed a button on the remote.
Daemon stepped out of the cell and raised his sword above his head. Lightening emitted from the tip and struck the ground around him. Then he set it back in it’s place.
Alrik’s jaw dropped. He handed the money pouch to Han’Drax. This would indeed solve his problem in the east.
“He comes with these.” Han’Drax handed Alrik a small pouch of pendant devices. “One is for speech translation, in case you wish to hear him speak. The other is an illusion amulet, it will change his features to look like that of a normal person. It has settings on the back. You are ready to proceed. Be on your way.” Han’Drax moved away from the two and watched them disappear at the end of the hall.
