Original X-roads-2003

“Now why I wanna do somethin like dat Jasylin?!?!?” he propped himself up on his right elbow.
“To see if it wOrKeD” I widened my eyes and shook him a little.
“Now you diggin yo’r claws into my leg Jas, stop it.” he brushed at my hands.
“You have to, you know you have to.” I moved my hands and sat back. “You said you would help.” I looked the other way.
“Why don you do it?” he transported me to Wakins, a restaurant in Jenten, where upon arrival I noticed Sertoff all close and cozy with Ruby over a candlelight dinner for two. Soft music playing the background…Ahhhhh, how could I interrupt.
I walked over to them and grabbed a chair from the vacant table beside them. Sitting down, I noticed that neither of them had noticed me. “So how’s it going?”
Ruby glanced at me as if I was being increadably rude.
I smiled back at her in return.
Sertoff moved one hand and set it on mine, I felt cold chills run through my back. “This is the nicest thing, Jasylin, besides your selfish motives. You did some real nice work with Ruby.”
“So when’s the wedding?” I grinned.
“Excuse us,” Sertoff slightly bowed to her as he continued holding my hand and walked me to a shadow filled corner in the room, out of her earshot. “This isn’t going to work Jasylin,” he moved the hair off my shoulder.
“Why not, what’s wrong with her.”
His finger slid under my chin, he pulled me up for a kiss before I could stop him, my knees felt weak.
