    Captain Kieas Naomi once sailed the waters of Threshold, she was notorious for ambushing the trade ships to New Artis. Due to her spoils she was completely unstoppable, all the finest weaponry and amulets. There was nothing she couldn’t do, no royal ship she couldn’t take. Once you saw her flag on the horizon, you had already lost. The price on her head was so high at one time, you could have bought a kingdom to rule for yourself. She wasn’t notorious for being a murderer, though she had a few brushes. She loved more than anything the Fame, Power, and Wealth. She was reported as saying once, “You simply can’t have Fame if everyone is dead, nor is there any point to Power or Wealth if there’s no one to lord it over.”
    “But you were killed by the Rhismians.” Jamie tried to rationalize. The last time anyone heard of Captain Naomi, she was surrounded by the Rhismian Royal Fleet. After a lengthy long distant firefight, she and her ship went down in flames. There were no survivors.
    “No.” she stood unmoved. “I knew there was no way they were leaving any survivors on that ship. So I left them none. A few members of my crew stayed behind, creating the illusion I was still on board. When in fact, we were transported here. To Raedus.” She inspected Jamie more closely, “By Mark Chasarue.”
    “But he’z dead.” Jamie tried to rationalize.
    “Seems, there’s a lot of that going around.” Naomi eyed her first mate coyly.
    “So how do I get back to Threshold?”
    “You don’t.” She waved her arm in the air. “But who could ask for more? The wind in your hair, the sea spray on your face. And all the plunder you could ever hope for. Money beyond your wildest dreams. There is nothing you can’t just reach out and take.” She clutched the air briefly.
    Jamie chuckled slightly, “Except a ride home.”
    The crew laughed slightly behind him.
    “Alrite,” Jamie cocked his head and squinted his eyes at her. “You got yerself a thief.”

    Her smile became devious. She began to go over all the ways this new talent could be used.
