Meanwhile in the Past…
“There was this great battle when I was a child.” the old mans eyes gleamed with new life.
Rasfar sat and listened to the tale unfold.
“When I was a child I lived on a continent on the other side of the world from here called Tehrat. It’s mostly desert land now due to the war fought there. Too much blood ruined the soil, they say. But when I lived there the land was vibrant and blue. The sky was a rich dark purple, and two blue suns blazed over head. Me and my best friend, Razus Kilji, were out in fields the day the first sun exploded in the sky. We thought a dragon was coming for us, we ran for shelter in the dark blue forest of trees. We stayed out in the wilderness for three days watching the remnants of the sky falling to the ground and setting parts of the countryside ablaze in pink flames taller and wider than castles. Then we saw what looked like a large star come down from the sky. It left a pink streak in the atmosphere, and the sky began to change from the dark rich purple I knew and loved to a lighter shade of violet. The sky never returned to it’s former glory, and the trees and grass faded over time to the turquoise color you see now.” The old man paused for a moment.
