Original X-roads-2003

I shook my head, “I don’t believe you. Like it would be any of your business anyway. You and little Miss Casandra.” I settled back in my chair.
Daemon turned to me, “What’s going on Assassin?” he accused.
I shook my head and rolled my eyes as I sat back straight and set the bottle on the table. “Oh please man!” I glared at him. “I don’t believe this! Nothing’s going on here, I’m just saying that if there was it wouldn’t be your problem. Hypocrite.”
I heard him pull his sword as Sertoff drew his and stood from his chair.
    “She’s unarmed.” Sertoff reminded him.
Daemon pushed his sword back and picked up his bottle.
Sertoff sheathed his sword and sat back down doing the same.
Somehow I liked what Sertoff did, I can’t possibly be that lonely.
    Sertoff glanced up at me.
“Can’t I have a few thoughts in private?” I questioned wearily.
He smirked as he looked back at Daemon, “No.”
I rolled my eyes, “That figures.”
    I heard Daemons’ mechanical chuckle.
“When am I going to stop being the odd man out?” I questioned Sertoff.
    “Odd man out?” he questioned.
I rolled my eyes, why can’t these people talk English? Well after all, I guess, it is their solar system. I drew in a breath, “The person who’s always around the group but is never truly invited in.”
He raised an eyebrow at me.
“Like Casandra.” I paused to see if he would get it, he didn’t. “You don’t treat her the way you treat me…”
“I think Daemon would get mad if I did that” he smirked.
I closed my eyes and clenched my teeth, I clenched my fists then released them, “Never Mind.” I seethed through my gritting teeth. Then I blinked and glanced at the ground to my right.
    Sertoff laughed slightly.
