Original X-roads-2003
I half laughed, to think people are actually scared of me. Little old me.
“They should be.” Sertoffs cold words rang from the doorway.
“More powerful than Sertoff?” I questioned the Robe.
“Assassin Jasylin kill Mercenary Sertoff.” he said in a scared awe.
I smirked and turned to Sertoff leaning against the building, “Did you hear that?”
“It’s not true?” he questioned and lifted the bottle to his lips.
“Sometimes I wonder.” I muttered under my breath and turned back around to the Robe. “Ok tell me what you got.”
“Have everything.” he insisted.
“Well I don’t know everything.” I glared at him.
“You don’t?” Sertoff moved off the building.
I gritted my teeth, I walked right into that one.
“Have the finest armor and weapons from everywhere.”
“Ok, ok.” I muttered seeing that I wasn’t getting anywhere this way. “I want something that makes them invisible and invincible.” I looked at him, let’s see him come up with that.
“How many?”
“I have three hundred men.” I would have thought he knew that already.
Sertoff walked up beside me, “You’re really serious about getting them all out alive.”
The Robe seemed to be calculating in his head, “Special order, take long time to find. Have to search many places, go to dangerous places.”
“So?” I muttered. “And you think I have it any easier?” I shouted. “I have to go to war! Why would I ask anything less from you?!?!”
He began to go in convulsions again and shriek.
