Original X-roads-2003

Meanwhile…

I opened my eyes slowly too see greyish stone walls. It was hard to keep my eyes open at first, I propped myself up on my left elbow and glanced around. My eyes flickering wearily to stay open saw only walls and a heavy steel door. This is a small cell, there’s almost not enough room for me. I heard muffled steps coming down a spiraled staircase, they were getting closer. Strange they sound soft and heavy, and I feel like someone mad is coming. It must be Jonothan, but why is he mad? What did I do? I was right anyway, I would have to be to be in this much trouble.
The door swung open and Jonothan looked in at me, “Jas.” he smiled.
I sat the rest of the way up and rubbed my forehead. “Why am I in the dungeon Jonothan?” I muttered.
He squatted down, “Cause Jas, I’m gettin tired of playin dese games wit you. An if you wanna see me as de enemy, den dat’s exactly what I gonna be.”
I let out a breath, “Jonothan, I don’t want to fight you.”
“An I don wanna fight you either.”
I looked wearily at him, “But” I let out a breath, “I will if I have to.”
He smiled, “An den I take you for mine.” His eyes began to glow bright blue, “For always an forever.”
I looked at the floor. “How did things get this far?” I muttered.
“Maybe Jonothan finally get tired of waitin for you.” he touched my hair lightly. “Gal, you don know wat you do to me. Make me crazy, make me do crazy thins. An Sertoff jus wanna use you till he can’t use you no more” his voice seemed to grow impatient. “An you just can’ seem to SEE IT!!” he was shouting now. “What do I gotta do to make you see dat?!?!” he grabbed my face and forced me to look in his eyes.
There was a sliver of bright light behind him, I gasped as I saw Daemon walk from it, then Jamie, and the last sent me to my feet and running to back of my small cell.
“Surprize!!!” Jamie yelled at the top of his lungs then he rushed off up the stairs.
    Daemon followed him.
Sertoff pulled his sword and held it at the base of Jonothans neck from behind.
Jonothans eyes narrowed as he slowly began to stand, “Jus de person I wanted to see.” He turned to face him.
