“Jas!” Jamie grabbed my arm.
“Here you go, it is yours. No charge.” he handed it over.
I fastened it to my arm, after I jerked away from Jamie.
“Thank you and come again.”
I waved my arm above my head as I walked out the door.
“Do you know whut Sertoff iz gonna do when he findz out you left fer Earth?” Jamie jumped in front of me.
“Find another wife?” I pushed him aside.
“Jasylin!”
I stopped and took a breath, “Look I’m not gone am I? Besides he already warned me that if I left he would kill all of my friends. Do you think I would leave you to that? It’s a just in case measure.”
“Jest in caze of whut?”
“I dunno. But it seems like a good idea to have it.” I glanced at it, my ticket home.
“It seemz like one of thoze it wuz a good idea at the time things.” he complained.
