Sertoff narrowed his eyes as he watched them disappear. Why was he not surprised, she planned this out all along, that’s why she took Jabetto instead of Jamie. She took the broken jumpers too, in hopes that someone would know how to fix them, she better hope someone knows how to fix them, because if she doesn’t jump back to Caslitak, there’s going to be a few funerals. In a flash of bright light he stood in front of Jamie, pulling his blaster he shot him in the leg, melting half of it then proceeded to walk into Kilji castle. Stopping in front of the sitting room door he leaned in, “I think Jamie needs your help.” he directed at Zariaha.
Zariaha sat wide eyed in shock, then rushed to Jamie muttering a spell. But try as she might she couldn’t restore his leg, she only knew of one person who could do that now. And Sertoff had shot him too.
Jabetto slowly woke up grabbing his head.
“Bout time you woke up.”
He jerked up and glanced around for Sertoff.
I smirked, “He’s no where around here.”
“You’re just playing with fire, you know that don’t you?” he rested against a tree.
“So what?” I shrugged. “It’s the least he deserves after shooting Jonothan. Not to mention what he did to you.”
“I’ll admit it was pretty uncalled for.”
I let out a breath, “You know he had it planned out the whole time.” I held up the jumpers, “Besides I got a plan.”
He narrowed his eyes, “What?”
“He tossed these in the water and they short circuited, but I figure that someone somewhere will be able to fix them.”
He drew out a breath.
“They can jump to Earth. I figure I get them fixed I jump to Earth ahead of you. You go back and get the others and bring them with you.”
“Are you crazy? You can’t take them to Earth.”
“Are you crazy? You want to leave them with Sertoff?”
