Pathway to Destiny
Meanwhile In the Future…
“Harley you have to help me out.” I pleaded to his back. “You obviously know what’s going on, I haven’t got a clue.”
“Maybe that’s the way he wants it.” Harley replied over his shoulder without looking away from his project. He then stopped what he was doing and turned around and looked at her. “Look, I’ve been working on this planet for a long time. Mark brought me back here from another time to work on this ‘Project’ he had created in his mind. This was long before there were any domed cities or anything like that. The domed cities were part of his project, and he chose me cause I knew every weakness Jonothan had. Every strength too.”
Harley leaned back against the work bench and crossed his arms. “He wanted a world that Jonothan couldn’t teleport on to, and if he did his magic wouldn’t work so he could never teleport back out. Also if he had somehow managed to already be on the planet before I could get this accomplished, I had to figure out a way to stop him from seeing the future. Because we both know Jonothan reads the stars, that’s no magic ability.” Harley waved his finger back and forth for a few seconds. “That’s why you can’t see the stars here, but that’s not the reason for the domed city.”
Harley pushed off the work desk and walked towards me. “Kilji was in power of this planet, long before we got here. And he had these reactors that melted down and polluted the water systems. They leaked out and poisoned the land so no food could be grown. You see, Kilji was always more interested in what is quick and easy than what is right.”
“Where is Kilji now?” I asked.
“Mark killed him, but that you will see.” Harley walked away from me and back to his work project. “That hasn’t happened to you yet, but it has happened to me. So strange you know, because I was there and I can’t even talk to you about what happened.”
“Why?”
Harley snapped at me quickly, “You’ll know why. When it happens.”
I sighed loudly.
